LooseRecently, some nutcase bought a grilled cheese sandwich resembling the Virgin Mary on Ebay! Nevertheless, the Internet is great for many products ... but is it such a good way to buy a diamond?
Well, we would never choose a diamond for Perrywinkle's without first seeing it -- nor would any diamond expert. So why would you? When we examine diamonds from the world's finest cutters we reject over 96% of them. Over 96%! That means tens-of-thousands of diamonds don't meet Perrywinkle standards for beauty and value. Most are not worth their asking price -- even though it may be an asking price lower than internet diamonds. They're simply a clearinghouse for diamond companies that ARE "clearing house." Internet diamond companies don't buy diamonds. They don't believe in them. And they don't have a passion for them. They simply post diamonds on their website from another company's inventory list. And the inventory listed often times consists of rejects that experts like us passed on because the diamonds lacked value. It's impossible to determine a diamond's beauty based solely on its statistics -- that's not the purpose of its certificate!
